Mixed martial arts photography in Newcastle with M4tC Made 4 The Cage was probably the most influential and dominant production event around at that time. The level of organisation that went into making these shows were second to none, and it was a real pleasure to be part of. peep spent a couple of years photographing and documenting most of M4TC shows including M4TC Takedown, The Warrors 22, and Legacy fight shows.
As peep spent a bit of time with Made For The Cage we decided to conduct a few interviews for the pre-fight-show. We walked around the complete event asking questions to MMA fighters, trainers and general public were watching the event. Another highlight of covering the M4TC events was meeting SAS Who dares Wins Winner Irish Mixed Martial Arts star Ryan Roddy. Ryan, asked peep on many occasions to cover his progress over the past few years. Ryan started training at the Vision Health and Fitness Gym in the Gateshead area.
The gym is owned by ex professional boxer – Mark Clauzel. Ryan asked for marl’s help with stand-up training and basic boxing training in the run-up to his fight with Chris Fishgold. If your interested, you can see coverage right here.MMA fighter Ryan Roddy trains with boxing with Mark Clauzel.
Boxing Journalist – Phil Lindsay also helped out with peep within the mixed martial arts world and joined with me interviewing Ryan Roddy for his fight at Made 4 The Cage event
peep followed Ryan Roddy all the way to Cage-side and documented the full fight with photography and videography. The coverage was meant to be part of a mini-documentary we were doing with Ryan, but like most things in professional combat sports, things do not always go to plan. We felt the Made 4 The Cage company was steady building momentum and becoming a real driving force within North England, and then suddenly seemed to cease promoting.
